The 2-phase PWM amplifiers, also known as a Switching Amplifier convert a small analog input signal into a large pulse width modulated output signal. The amplified input signal can be restored from the PWM output signal by filtering.
Most of Apex Microtechnology 2-phase and all of its 1- and 3-phase PWM amplifiers also support direct digital PWM control. The output power range of a Pulse Width Modulation Amplifier starts at 200W, but there is also a 650V/30A 3-phase device.
