Terminal blocks
Terminal blocks are modular, insulated blocks that secures two or more wires together. They are used to secure and/or terminate wires. The terminal block is most useful for connecting wiring to ground. There are several types of terminal blocks, for example: pluggable, screwless, PCB universal screw and PCB spring. The terminal block connectors of Summit Electronics feature up to 24 pole counts, and are available in horizontal, vertical, 45°, and 180° orientations. These models offer 2.54, 3.5, 3.81, 5.0, 5.08, 7.5, 7.62 and 10.16 mm pitches with wire gauges ranging from 28 to 4 AWG.
A good rule for selecting a terminal block is that it has a current rating of at least 150% of the system's expected maximum current. The voltage rating should also be greater than the maximum system voltage. When thinking about this, voltage surges must be taken into consideration to prevent damaging the connection. Most terminal blocks carry current ratings from 6A to 76A. These terminal blocks fit well for your interconnect needs.
