New in the product family is a photo receiver amplifier IC. The new device complement Apex’s existing line of ICs, which provide supply voltages of up to 350V and feature multi-channel architectures.
“Apex Microtechnology continues to push the boundaries of innovation in the power analog industry,” says Jens Eltze, Director of Business Development at Apex Microtechnology. “With the launch of two new devices, we are responding to the increased market demand for advanced capabilities in smaller packages.
Our latest Precision ICs are designed to face the challenges of miniaturizing next-gen systems, enabling our customers to develop smaller, more efficient systems without compromising performance. This expansion of our portfolio not only enhances our existing hybrid offerings but also provides cost-effective solutions tailored for a diverse range of applications.” With the addition of these new devices, Apex expands its offerings for high power, high precision requirements in applications such as; piezoelectric transduction, capacitive actuation, and LED drivers, among others.
AIC1638: Photo Receiver Amplifier IC
The AIC1638 is a compact, integrated receiver amplifier designed for high-sensitivity photo diodes used in applications like light barriers, smoke detectors, light curtains, and similar.
Filtering out ambient light and amplifying the detected pulses from a photo diode, the conditioned signals are used for driving a current mirror output stage. Implementing an integrated polarity protection, the device can be used in a multiplexed configuration, simplifying the wiring of the application. Optimized to minimize the need for external components, can be used for light sensing applications ranging from a few millimeters to several meters.
