The TMCM-1617 is an extremely lightweight, miniaturized single-axis servo drive for 3-phase BLDC motors with up to 18A RMS and +24V supply. Customization and different casing options are possible.
TRINAMIC announces their robust and highly qualified single-axis servo controller module. Designed for servo drives with 18A RMS and 8…28V DC, it’s equipped with TMCL, EtherCAT, or CAN and RS485 interface. The ultra-lightweight aluminum housing, which is conform DIN EN 60529, and cutting-edge feature set make the TMCM-1617 a key enabler for medical, aerospace, robotics and logistics systems in need of smaller and lighter drives The potted module features Trinamic’s hardware-based field oriented control, supporting low-inductance and highly dynamic motors.
Capable of previously unachieved high-current loop frequencies to keep the current ripple low, the potted module enables ever-smaller electric drives with extremely high dynamics. It supports a wide range of encoders for position feedback, including incremental encoders, analog encoders, and digital hall sensors as position feedback. This, together with the integrated field oriented control in hardware and customization options, makes it a highly efficient solution for rugged servo drives across the board.
Trinamic’s potted servo controller module executed a highly accelerated life test (HALT) with ambient temperature from -40°C up to 85°C operational temperature and mechanical vibrations up to 30GRMS.
The drive is configured to be soldered on the TMCM-1617-BB baseboard. Customization of the TMCM-1617 carrier board or integration services to meet application-specific designs are also possible.
