Thermal Washers

The thermal washers in this category are pre-coated aluminium foils, which provide better thermal conductivity and are easier to use than thermal grease. Electrical conductivity of these washers makes sleeving of at least two outer amplifier pins a requirement to achieve correct alignment of amplifier, thermal washer and heatsink holes.

A small number of washers are made of Kapton and thus electrically insulating. Thermal performance is similar to a mica washer with thermal grease.

Both types of washers are 3 mils thick and non-compressible.
